The Poetic Edda

One of our primary sources on Norse mythology and Germanic legends, the Poetic Edda has had a powerful and profound influence on Scandinavian and Western literature in general. Writers such as Vilhelm Ekelund, August Strindberg, and J.R.R. Tolkien have acknowledged their debt to the Poetic Edda.
